Editing results

You can record and edit results directly in the browser, on the views that show operations (the Resource Gantt, Order Gantt, Dispatching View, and Operation Table).

info

If the result-entry controls are unavailable, check the following:

  1. Whether you are using a Viewer plan project — result entry is not available on the Viewer plan.
  2. Whether your permission is Read only — with Read only permission you can only view operations.

Start and Finish buttons

Operations show Start and End (Finish) buttons for quick result entry:

  • Start records the operation's result start time and sets its status to Started.
  • End records the operation's result end time and sets its status to Completed.

This is the fastest way to report that work has begun or finished. To adjust the recorded times, or to enter other properties such as the reported quantity, use the result editing dialog.

Several project settings for results change how these buttons behave:

  • Automatically set "ResultObtainTime" with "Start" and "Finish" buttons — when enabled, pressing Start or End also records the result obtained time as the moment you press the button. When disabled, the result obtained time is left empty.
  • Allow finishing operations without starting — lets you press End on an operation that was never started; the reported start time stays empty.
  • Set operation's status to complete automatically — completes an operation once its reported quantity reaches the production quantity, or its reported progress reaches 100%.

Result editing dialog

The result editing dialog lets you enter and change every result property — status, reported times, quantity, progress rate, and more — for a single operation.
