Resource Gantt Chart

Displays the planning result as a Resource Gantt Chart. You can review the details of the plan for each resource. By clicking a bar, you can also check its links to the preceding and following operations. In addition to displaying in the same style as Asprova's Resource Gantt Chart, it addresses the problem of thin bars whose text is hard to read by showing a timeline window on the right, so you can read the text of each individual bar. The operation map shown at the bottom also makes it easier to move back and forth between the preceding and following operations. Results can also be entered from the timeline window.

Description of each part​

Date and time display (calendar area)​

This is the part where dates and times are displayed. Scrolling over the calendar area moves the view horizontally. Holding CTRL while scrolling zooms in and out horizontally.

Saturdays are drawn with a light-blue background, and Sundays and days specified in the holiday calendar with a pink background.

Resource display (table area)​

This is the leftmost part of the chart, where resource names are generally displayed. You can change the width of the table area by dragging its border with the chart area. For now, only one column can be displayed in the table area.

Scrolling over the table area moves the view vertically. Holding CTRL while scrolling zooms in and out vertically.

Operation display (chart area)​

Scrolling over the chart area moves the view vertically, and holding SHIFT while scrolling moves it horizontally (v.26.1 and later). Holding CTRL while scrolling zooms in and out both horizontally and vertically.

Connection lines​

Clicking an operation bar shows its links to the preceding and following operations. As in Asprova's Resource Gantt Chart, links within an order are drawn in blue, links between orders in pink, and overlap time in light blue. Unlike Asprova, connection lines to bars on the sub-resources of preceding and following operations are drawn with a dotted line. You can disable this by enabling "Hide connection lines to sub-resources".

Changing "Connection line nesting depth" in the display settings changes how deep the connection lines are drawn.

Chart area background colors​

The following background colors are drawn on My Schedule's Gantt chart. These colors cannot be changed.

  • Outside the upload period
  • Before the assignment start time
  • After the assignment end time
  • Outside the upload period and before the assignment start time
  • Outside the upload period and after the assignment end time

Current time display​

The current time is drawn as an orange line.

Timeline display​

The timeline display lets you view operations in detail, in chronological order. The content shown when you press ▶ is the same as the operation's data-tip text.

You can place a link on the timeline display that opens a URL associated with an operation. For details, see Operation URL.

Operation map display​

The operation map display shows, as a simple diagram, the operation connections that are represented by connection lines on the Resource Gantt Chart.

Settings​

The contents of the display settings are saved in your browser.

Style​

You can select the Asprova style applied to the Resource Gantt Chart. The selectable styles are those you chose for the Resource Gantt Chart when uploading from Asprova.

Display period​

Sets the period displayed on the Gantt chart's X axis. You can also adjust it by holding the Ctrl key and scrolling over the date/time header of the Gantt chart.

Display time range​

Sets the range of hours within a single day that is displayed on the Gantt chart's X axis. You cannot set the display end time to a time earlier than the display start time.

Number displayed​

Sets how many resources are displayed along the Gantt chart's Y axis. You can also adjust it by holding the Ctrl key and scrolling over the resource-name area of the Gantt chart.

Filter​

You can filter resources by a string you specify.

Entering results​

The timeline display has "Start", "Finish", and "Edit result" buttons; you can enter results by operating these buttons.

Start button​

Changes the operation to the "Started" status and records the current time as the result start time.

Finish button​

Changes the operation to the "Completed" status and records the current time as the result end time.

Edit result button​

Opens the result edit dialog so you can edit the result.

Customizing the display with styles​

My Schedule's Resource Gantt Chart does not guarantee a 1:1 correspondence with the display of Asprova's Resource Gantt Chart, and there are no plans to do so in the future.

Among Asprova's style settings, the following subset is reflected in My Schedule's Resource Gantt Chart. Note that all styles are evaluated at upload time.

  • Sort method: determines the display order of resources.
  • Filter method: determines which resources are displayed.
  • Resource left-side text expression: determines the text displayed in the table area.
  • Resource left-side background color expression: determines the background color of the table area.
  • Bar display color: determines the color of the use-instruction bars.
  • Use-instruction bar text color expression: determines the text color of the use-instruction bars.
  • Use-instruction data-tip text expression: determines the data-tip text shown when hovering over a use-instruction bar or on the timeline display.
