Moving the Asprova My Schedule / WS Server

This page describes the procedure for moving the machine on which the Asprova My Schedule / WS server is installed.

Preparation​

1. Prepare the My Schedule server​

On the new machine, install the same version of My Schedule as the one installed on the existing machine. If you want to upgrade the version, first upgrade the existing machine, confirm that it works correctly, and then install the same version on the new machine.

2. License​

For e-Protector, you need to complete the official authentication on the new machine following "Q_04: I want to move the e-Protector to another machine" in the manual.

For online license authentication, no specific preparation is required.

3. Result data​

While the server is being moved, no new result data can be entered.

After the last result data has been entered, download the results on Asprova and import them into the Aru file.

Migration​

Stop the My Schedule server on the existing machine, then perform the following steps.

1. Server settings​

On the new machine's Control Panel, reapply the necessary server settings that were configured on the existing machine's Control Panel. Once configured, start the server and wait a few seconds for it to generate the necessary files. Then stop the server once.

2. Migrate user information, project information, etc.​

On the existing machine, locate the My Schedule server database file. The database file is at C:\ProgramData\Asprova\Asprova My Schedule\WS\db.sqlite3. If it is not in this location, the path is recorded in the log when the My Schedule server is started.

Copy the located db.sqlite3 file to C:\ProgramData\Asprova\Asprova My Schedule\WS\db.sqlite3 on the new machine, overwriting the existing file.

Once copied, start the My Schedule server on the new machine again. Confirm that the project and user information have been copied over.

3. License configuration​

Access My Schedule on the new machine and authenticate the license from the server settings page.

If you are using e-Protector, no action is required in this section. For online license authentication, log out of the license on the existing machine's My Schedule server, and then authenticate on the new machine.

4. Connection settings and upload​

Open the connection settings dialog of the Aru file and set the new server's location. Once configured, connect and re-fetch the project information.

After that, upload the planning data.

5. Notify users​

Notify the My Schedule users of the new server location, and prompt them to update their bookmarks.

1. License​

For e-Protector authentication, follow "Q_04: I want to move the e-Protector to another machine" in the manual to perform "Cancel authentication on the existing machine" and "Extend usage period on the new machine."

For online license authentication, no specific procedure is required.
